This budget brief has been produced under a partnership between the European Union and the UNICEF Nepal Country Office. This provides an update to the Social Protection Budget Brief from FY 2020/21, using data from the last three fiscal years.

It examines the landscape of social protection in Nepal and reports on social security allowances for various groups, including the elderly, widows and single women, people with disabilities, and children under five.
