Every year, UNICEF Mongolia celebrates the Children’s Day with a variety of exciting activities. This year, the organization is delighting children across four different venues in the capital city.

UNICEF Mongolia took part in the Children’s Palace parade and actively participated in the official opening ceremony of the Children’s Day celebrations at Sukhbaatar Square. At the UNICEF Mongolia pavilion, children enjoyed fun games and engaging activities while receiving information about children’s rights and child protection services.

During the official opening ceremony at Sukhbaatar Square, UN Resident Coordinator Mr. Jaap van Hierden delivered the opening remarks. The event was also attended by UNICEF Mongolia Representative Mr. Evariste Kouassi-Komlan, UNICEF Mongolia National Ambassador Ms. R. Munkhtuya, and Child Protection and Education Advocate Ms. N. Munkhnasan.

In addition, UNICEF Mongolia partnered with the Children and Youth Theatre of Songinokhairkhan District to organize a special cultural program and a performance of the children’s play “Arslan Khulegt Baatar” for 700 children from the district.

UNICEF Mongolia Child Health and Development Advocate Ms. N. Tselmuun participated in the joint event, delivering holiday greetings to the children and presenting them with special UNICEF Children’s Rights Passports as gifts.

UNICEF Mongolia Advocate “Anguuch” Battur joined the children’s event at Nomin Macro Mall in Yarmag area, where he met with children and extended his warm greetings.

For the second consecutive year, UNICEF Mongolia organized the Kids Art Festival, this time setting up a dedicated photo zone and a relaxing area for children at the Archery Field of the National Stadium.
