Sahondra is able to provide for her granddaughter's basic needs through the Zara Mira program
Sahondra is a widowed grandmother who cares for her granddaughter. Many problems related to being old and unemployed have affected their livelihood, but since Zara Mira she is able to provide for her granddaughter's basic needs.

Sahondra is a 53-year-old grandmother who cares for her 5-year-old granddaughter. Her son's wife died in childbirth. Sohandra's husband used to support the family by fishing. But seven months ago, he passed away, leaving her with the bills and school fees for her granddaughter.
The Zara Mira program has enabled Sohandra to run a small business selling items such as tea, coffee, noodles, rice, and vegetables. Although finances are still tight and cash flow is difficult, Sahondra makes sure her little girl can eat three times a day.
So far, she has not been able to save money from previous allowances and still must borrow money from the community investment fund because not all expenses can be paid with the Zara Mira allowance. She hopes that the next paycheck will allow her to save money and pay off all the debts she has incurred for her granddaughter's school fees and supplies.
The Zara Mira program has enabled Sohandra to run a small business which brings in income to provide for her granddaughter's basic needs.
