Mohammad, a 13-year-old boy, misses his home and hopes the war will end soon so he can go back to school. He had to leave after the severe bombing near their house. "I felt scared, as if the building was going to collapse on us," he said. He saw thick smoke as he and his family rushed outside to see what had happened. Mohammad started crying, and a couple of minutes later, six more rockets fell next to their house. "I felt an immense fear and terror," he said. That’s when his parents decided to prepare their bags in case the bombing started again, so the family could escape quickly.
Despite everything, Mohammad is still hopeful. "I tell you, don’t be afraid, because when the war ends, we will return to our homes and our schools," he said.
