About
This Call to Action reflects the priorities of 110 girls and young women with intersecting vulnerabilities, aged 10–24, residing across Lebanon’s governorates, including Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian girls, as well as girls from migrant communities. The group includes girls with disabilities, girls living in border villages in the South, and girls facing barriers to education, with half currently out of learning. Around 18% are with disabilities, and 30% have not received any UNICEF service.
Since late 2025, UNICEF has engaged with the 110 girls to support them in identifying their priorities as part of the development of UNICEF Lebanon’s Adolescent Girls Strategy (2027–2032).
Their priorities span five areas: learning, skills development and successful transition to adulthood; living free from violence; enjoying good physical and mental health; accessing essential resources for health, dignity and well-being; and thriving in safe and supportive families, communities and institutions.
The Call to Action provides a roadmap for future advocacy, programming and investment in adolescent girls.
It aims to translate girls’ priorities into concrete actions and sustained investment, while ensuring that girls remain meaningfully involved in shaping and monitoring decisions that affect their lives.
