Highlights

The Mapping of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS) for Children and Adolescents in Kosovo provides a comprehensive overview of the services available to support children's mental health and well-being. The report identifies growing mental health challenges among children and adolescents, including anxiety, depression, emotional distress and trauma, alongside important gaps in access to support services.

The findings show that while services exist across multiple sectors, support systems remain fragmented and unevenly accessible, particularly for children from vulnerable groups and those living outside major urban areas.

The report outlines key recommendations to strengthen coordination, expand school-based mental health support, improve referral pathways and build a more accessible, child-centred system that ensures every child and adolescent can access the support they need.
