Voices

The views of youth and other partners

Article 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child urges respect for the views of children. It states that children have the right to give their opinion freely on issues that affect them and that adults should listen and take them seriously. In its programming, the UNICEF Office for the Eastern Caribbean Area supports governments and other partners to create platforms for children and young people to amplify their voices because we believe their opinions matter.
