  1. What do you love most about UNICEF?

Our collective, relentless search to find solutions for challenges. UNICEF puts you in solution mode with a lens focused on short-term and long-term outcomes. The culture of optimism is the channa in the doubles. It’s delicious.

  1. What are you most passionate about?

I'm passionate about protecting mental health. Mental health is our nexus, axis, foundation and petri dish, yet it's overlooked and neglected. A favourite quote of mine that fuels this passion is: “For in every adult there dwells the child that was, and in every child there lies the adult that will be.”

  1. Tea or coffee?

If I must choose one, coffee please. I'll accept the hype, thank you.

  1. What achievement are you most proud of?

Completing graduate school in the same month that my grandmother (who was like a mother) died. It was a mixture of deep pain with a deep desire to dedicate my degree completion and future career of working with children and youth to her. She dedicated her life to children living with disabilities.

  1. What is most challenging about working at UNICEF?

Changing deeply rooted cultural practices and mores that negatively affect children’s rights. Fortunately, research tells us that though such change may take years or decades, change is still possible.

  1. What do you like to do for fun?

Thons: Marathons, Triathlons, and Bikeathons.

  1. Soca or reggae?

Soca because of its storytelling, optimism, and celebration that can be traced to a legacy of overcoming slavery, indentureship and challenges.
