UNICEF Corporate Partners: Happy Bar and Grill

Happy Bar & Grill restaurant chain is UNICEF's first large corporate partner in the country, providing one of the strongest and most loyal support to protect children's rights. Since 2010 Happy Bar & Grill dedicates its corporate social responsibility to its partnership with UNICEF by making significant corporate donations and providing mechanisms to engage employees and clients in the common cause - for each child the best start in life, family care, access to quality and inclusive education, protection against violence. Over the past 9 years, with the support of Happy Bar & Grill, UNICEF together with partners has succeeded:

- to support over 11 000 children and families in Shumen and Sliven (nearly 70% of all 0-3-year-old in both areas), with individualized support, guidance and information on health, nutrition, safety and full parental care;

- to reach over 4800 vulnerable and poor families with young children at risk and prevent dozens of children from their families; to support access to kindergarten, healthcare and education for children; to develop parenting skills to ensure children's right to live in a caring and supportive family environment.

- to reach hundreds of children, victims of violence and their families, by providing them with social, legal, health and psychological support.

CORPORATE DONATION – since the start of our partnership in 2010 until 2019 the company’s corporate donation will exceed BGN 2.6 million.

STAFF DONATIONS – the company gives staff a chance to support UNICEF programs by payroll donations.

STAFF VOLUNTEERING – the company gives staff a chance to become a UNICEF volunteer and raise funds for the organization’s programs.

ENHANCING SOCIETY’S SENSITIVITY TOWARDS UNICEF initiatives through all possible channels in the restaurants – Happy volunteers, Happy TV and magazine, brochures and posters supporting UNICEF’s mission in Bulgaria to enhance society’s sensitivity towards significant problems affecting children in Bulgaria and around the globe, as well as developing the culture of charitable donation in Bulgaria.

FUNDRAISING BY CLIENTS – campaigns in Happy restaurants raising funds by clients and creating an opportunity to join the organization’s causes.
