The educational campaign of UNICEF in Belarus and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus to support responsible parenting — “5 Rules of Successful Parents: Play, Talk, Move, Hug, and Read Every Day” — is aimed at providing information to young and future parents of children up to 8 years old.
“5 Rules of Successful Parents” is a unique educational campaign for parents based on modern scientific findings about early brain development in children and the importance of early childhood and preschool education. The materials were developed by experts from UNICEF Belarus and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
“5 Rules of Successful Parents: Play, Talk, Move, Hug, and Read Every Day” offers a practical, simple, and accessible approach for all parents, enabling children to fully realize their right to proper development and early education.
Daily conversations, reading, and playing with a child promote brain development, build self-esteem, and enrich vocabulary — a key indicator of a child’s ability to succeed in school and later in life.
We invite parents, educators, and other professionals to use and share this brochure. The brochure is part of an information and awareness package on fostering responsible parenting.
