Engage in discussions with your family members regarding how to prepare for and respond to emergencies specific to your area. Clearly define roles for each family member and establish a designated meeting place.
A family emergency preparedness plan allows every individual to evaluate their level of preparedness for emergencies. Here's how to use this checklist: Review each item and mark 'yes' if you or your family members currently practice it, or mark 'no' if it's not part of your routine.
