About

The role of a chaperone in safeguarding is to provide supervision and protection, ensuring that individuals—especially children, young people, and/or vulnerable adults— are safe, respected, and free from harm or inappropriate behavior. A chaperone is also often asked to respond to concerns about specific youth and to ensure these are reported.

This is a sample resource designed to be flexible. It should be adapted to fit the specific situation/needs of your organization or community.
