The Youth Action Guide

I know about the Youth Advocacy Guide…what is the Youth Action Guide?

  • In short – the same thing! We changed the name of the resource to better explain its purpose. This resource is for anyone trying to take action, big or small! Not just for advocacy.

Where can I download the Youth Action Guide (YAG)?

  • You can find and download the Youth Action Guide here

How many languages is the Youth Action Guide Available in?

  • Currently, we have the YAG in 15 languages (and continuing to add more!)

Who created the Youth Action Guide?

  • The YAG was created by young people! You can read more about the history of the YAG on the History of the YAG page

What is the Workbook, and do I have to use it?

  • The workbook is meant to support you on your action journey. It is linked to the sections of the YAG and gives you space to write down your thoughts and ideas as you plan your work. It is completely optional, and you can use parts of it that you find most useful – every journey is different!

The Training Resources

Where can I find the training resources?

  • You can find the training resources, for both in-person and virtual, on this page. Remember, this is a forced-copy link, which will prompt you to download your own copy of the script and slides that you can adapt and edit as needed.

Can I change parts of the training script and slides?

  • Yes, adapting the materials for your context is very important.

Can I host my own training without UNICEF?

  • Yes – we encourage it! This resource was created for young people and their allies to use anywhere in the world, in the way that best suits their needs and contexts. Read the tips and tricks in the script to help you prepare for your session.
