Highlights
It focuses on the health of adolescents in Uzbekistan and highlights the critical importance of conducting nutrition research among this age group (10–19 years). Adolescence is a key period of rapid growth and increased nutritional needs, offering a unique opportunity to establish healthy eating habits that can last a lifetime. Given the ongoing changes in dietary patterns, urbanization, and the transformation of the school food environment in Uzbekistan, up-to-date data is essential to identify nutrition-related risks and to develop effective policies and programs. The findings of this research aim to inform targeted interventions, support progress toward nutrition and well-being goals under the Sustainable Development Goals, and help identify adolescents who are at higher risk of malnutrition and unhealthy dietary behaviors.
