What you need to know about UNICEF
Who we are
For 70 years in the world and for 24 years in Uzbekistan, UNICEF has worked to improve the lives of children and their families focusing on the most disadvantaged.
Despite remarkable challenges around the world, UNICEF staffers work hard to ensure the rights of every child for nutrition, protection from disaster and abuse, and equality.
UNICEF is guided by the Convention on the Rights of the Child and strives to establish children's rights as enduring ethical principles and international standards of behavior towards children.
How we work
Through its successive programmes of cooperation, UNICEF has assisted the Government of Uzbekistan at central and local levels to address issues related to the rights and well-being of children and their families, in partnership with civil society organisations, parliament, communities, youth, mass media, and both multilateral and bilateral development partners.
