Keeping children alive, learning and safe
Highlights
UNICEF in Uganda started a new Country Programme for 2016-2020 in collaboration with the Government of Uganda and other partners. The main goal for the next four years is to support national efforts to accelerate the realization of children's rights.
The Country Programme contains THREE Programme components:
1. Keeping children ALIVE and THRIVING - Child Survival and Development
Reproductive, maternal, neonatal and child health; Nutrition; HIV and AIDS; Water, sanitation and hygiene.
2. Keeping children LEARNING - Basic Education and Adolescent Development
Early childhood development; Adolescent development; Quality education
3. Keeping children SAFE - Child Protection
Child protection system; Justice for children; Birth registration
