Supplies are essential to fulfil children’s rights. Supporting child survival and development programmes around the world, UNICEF-procured supplies are critical in providing for children’s health, education and protecting them from abuse, exploitation, and neglect.

UNICEF procures and supplies products to address the needs of children.

As well as supporting UNICEF’s ongoing programmatic activities, the Supply function provides rapid supply response to emergencies.

UNICEF also procures and supplies essential commodities on behalf of governments and other partners in support of their efforts. These procurement services can also include in-country logistics, capacity building, and project management. 


Beware of fraud

UNICEF is aware that there are Request for Quotations (RFQs) and Applications to bid that are being publicly shared with the UNICEF logo and claiming to be from UNICEF South Africa. RFQs not advertised here are fraudulent scams and are monitored and being investigated by the relevant authorities.

Email addresses ending in @unicef-sa.org are not official UNICEF email addresses and should be treated as a false. Do not respond to it. UNICEF South Africa will only place such RFQs on this page.

Under the supervision of the Nutrition Manager from the Health and Nutrition section, and in close collaboration with the Department of Basic Education the service provider will be required to provide technical support to DBE in operationalizing and implementing the scale-up plan emanating from the pilot intervention study on the Blueprint for improving the South Africa school food environments.

LRPS-2025-9200705 Development and Pilot of a Web 3.0 Impact Marketplace and Impact Verification Portal for Youth on YOMA
Under the direct supervision of the Innovation Specialist and overall supervision of the Country Representative, the Institutional Contractor will be responsible for the end-to-end deployment and piloting of a fully functional Web3.0-enabled impact marketplace and impact verification platform. The core objective is to create a scalable digital ecosystem where youth can engage in income generation opportunities and have their impact verified, earn digital or financial incentives, and build a portable record of their achievements, fully integrated within the broader YOMA.world ecosystem.
