Budget brief series 2025
About
UNICEF South Africa is proud to present the 2025 series of Budget Briefs that cover the issues of intersectionality in ECD programmes, social sector budget analysis, and the quest for a children’s budget in South Africa.
The Budget Briefs cover the period between 2020 and 2024 and highlight the issues around access as well as spending and allocation trends in basic education, health, and social development.
As a follow-up to this work, UNICEF South Africa is planning a series focused on interrogating efficiency issues in social sector departments.
