Highlights

Romania’s social assistance system is undergoing a complex process of digital transformation and modernization, which requires not only investments in IT infrastructure but also a better understanding of the current capabilities of the relevant institutions.

In this context, the Ministry of Labor, Family, Youth, and Social Solidarity, in partnership with UNICEF in Romania, has launched a national study aimed at conducting a detailed mapping of existing IT and human resources within the social assistance system. The results will help inform strategic interventions designed to support an equitable and efficient digitalization process in all types of localities, from small villages to large cities and counties.
