The AU has set forth an ambitious and noble agenda for 2024: The Year of Education - Educate and Skill Africa for the 21st Century. It is a rallying call for African governments to prioritise education as the cornerstone of progress and development. At the center of this ambition is the need to strengthen investments in the education sector. This brief provides an assessment of the 2024/25 budget for education in Namibia, with a view to recommending pathways for the optimisation of financing towards its commitments to the Year of Education.
