As part of the U-Report program, Rakuten Viber is partnering with UNICEF Moldova to mobilize and engage young people in Moldova to make their voices heard

How many of you love to liven up an online discussion and use stickers to better express an emotion or idea?

Viber calling and messaging app, with over a billion users worldwide, has created a new sticker package to promote the U-Report platform. The Romanian version of stickers developed specifically for Moldovan U-Report was launched at the end of January 2020 and has already proved to be a success – in just a couple of days more than a 1,000 people joined the U-Report platform and now can express themselves on the problems and the subjects which concern them.

The stickers, featuring two animals – a lion and a mouse -  and containing inspirational messages -  „Speak your mind”, „Be kind”, „Spread Love” – were developed in close consultations with young U-Reporters.

"At the moment, we are announcing the official launch of the U-Report sticker package in Moldova! We hope that this initiative will help the development of the U-Report community and will provide another way for young people to make their voices heard in a fun and colorful way, ”says, Iuliana Losetchi, U-Report Moldova coordinator.

Today, more than 8 million U-Reporters around the world, in sixty countries, are mobilized thanks to this innovative tool allowing young people anonymously respond to the surveys and participate in one-on-one consultations with professionals on the topics of interest. In Moldova, UNICEF launched the U-Report tool in 2017 to encourage young people to strengthen their communities and currently it has more than 15,000 users from all over the country.
