Collapsed buildings in Mandalay Region, central Myanmar, reveals the devastating impact of the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck at 1:00 PM on 28 March 2025.  Mandalay is among the hardest-hit areas, with widespread destruction and urgent humanitarian needs. Electricity and communication networks are down in affected areas, hampering rescue efforts.  UNICEF is closely monitoring the situation to support affected children and families amidst the challenging conditions.
