World Children’s Day 2026
My Day. My Rights. My Future.
Every child has rights. Every child has a voice. Every child deserves a future where those rights are respected, protected and fulfilled.
World Children's Day is UNICEF's Global Day of Action for children, by children. Celebrated every year on 20 November, it marks the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and brings people together to champion the rights of every child.
This year, UNICEF Malaysia is inviting children, young people, families, communities, partners, donors and decision-makers to come together to listen to children, celebrate their rights and help build the future they deserve.
What is World Children's Day?
World Children's Day is UNICEF's annual Global Day of Action that puts children at the centre of conversations about the future.
It is an opportunity for children to share their experiences, ideas and aspirations, and for adults, institutions and communities to listen and take action.
Across the world, children and young people speak up on the issues that matter to them, while governments, businesses, schools, organisations and communities show their support for children's rights.
For every child, every right.
