Technology is an integral part of the daily lives of children and adolescents, so we must create opportunities for informed dialogue on how to support them in their relationship with technology.
This UNICEF Guide to Keeping Children and Adolescents Safe Online[SA1] aims to contribute data and practical recommendations to the discussions already taking place every day in families and classrooms across Latin America and the Caribbean: from whether or not to use screens to educate young children to the debate over restricting social media use.
Over the course of 2026, UNICEF, in collaboration with the news outlet Infobae, will publish a series of resources that can be used by parents and educators to strengthen the digital skills of children and adolescents and protect their rights.
