What we do

Helping the most vulnerable children and young people survive and thrive

Since 1952, UNICEF has worked in Jordan to protect and promote child rights and help children, youth and their families survive and thrive – especially the most vulnerable.

UNICEF was founded with the purpose of conquering the obstacles that poverty, disease and discrimination place in the path of a child.

We advocate for the rights of children to help them establish the best possible start in life, because we are firm believers that proper care at a young age provides the most solid foundation for a person's future.

Ever since UNICEF began its work in Jordan, significant progress has been achieved. Through its work on the ground, UNICEF works with the Government of Jordan to strengthen national systems so that all children and youth can reach their full potential – wherever they live, and regardless of their status or nationality.

Responding to lifesaving needs and ensuring equal access to quality public services, the impact of our work is felt in every aspect and every sphere of society.
