Deputizing for Crown Prince, Minister of Youth Honors Winners of the Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Service in its Second Edition

Deputizing for HRH Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, the Minister of Youth and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Service, H.E Eng. Yazan AlShdaifat, honoured the winners of the award’s second edition today, Wednesday, at the Cultural Palace in Al Hussein Youth City.
In his speech, Eng. AlShdaifat stated that “Voluntary Service” is a symbol of a nation’s progress and prosperity and a core component of belonging and good citizenship.” He highlighted that Jordanian society has embraced the values of volunteerism since the establishment of the Jordanian state, fostering a social fabric rooted in solidarity, altruism, and mutual support.
AlShdaifat added that the Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Service was launched by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince in celebration of International Volunteer Day to promote a culture of volunteerism, recognize the voluntary efforts of individuals, teams, and institutions, and acknowledge their contributions to achieving sustainable community development. He noted that the award represents the highest honour in the field of volunteer work.
The award, organized by the Ministry of Youth in partnership with the Crown Prince Foundation and UNICEF, received over 8,000 applications in various fields, including Social, Health, Educational or Training, Sports, Environmental and Tourism, Arts and Culture, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation.
Winners were selected according to the award’s four categories: Outstanding Individual Voluntary Work Category, Outstanding Voluntary Team Category, Outstanding Voluntary Project (Corporate Social Responsibility), For-Profit Institutions Category, and Outstanding Voluntary Project, Non-Profit Institutions Category.
In the Outstanding Individual Voluntary Work Category, Mahmoud Al-Nabulsi secured first place for the "EZWITTI Restaurant" initiative, which provides free daily meals to those in need. The second place was awarded to Dr. Marzouq Amarin for the "Comprehensive Medical Care for Cleft Lip and Palate Patients" initiative, which delivers essential medical care to children with these conditions. Hala Abdel Khaleq achieved third place for the "Rafeeq Al-Khair for Social Services" initiative, which focuses on integrating persons with disabilities into volunteer work.
In the Outstanding Voluntary Team Category, the "For Our Schools to Flourish" initiative claimed first place for its work in improving the conditions of public schools through rehabilitation and maintenance. Second place was awarded to the "Garage Sale" initiative, which creates opportunities for volunteer engagement and expands scholarship beneficiaries. The third place was taken by the "Medical Club" at the Hashemite University, which supports medical students academically and empowers them to provide voluntary medical services.
The Outstanding Voluntary Project, Non-Profit Institutions Category awarded Hemmetna Charitable Society first place for its "Rehabilitation and Development of Health Centers and Hospital Departments" project, which provides high-quality healthcare to underserved communities. Second place went to Tkiyet Um Ali for the "Mawaed Al Rahman Program," aimed at alleviating food poverty and promoting volunteerism. Third place was secured by the King Hussein Cancer Foundation for the "Siwar Al Hussein Volunteering Program," which engages youth in cancer awareness and public health initiatives while supporting patients.
In the Outstanding Voluntary Project (Corporate Social Responsibility), For-Profit Institutions Category, Orange Jordan took first place for the "Coding Academy," which offers free training in programming languages and essential job skills. Second place was awarded to Respect Consultancy for the "Respect Al-Khair" initiative, empowering orphans and underprivileged families to achieve a dignified life. Third place was shared by Islamic Scientific College Schools in Jubeiha for the "Read and Rise" initiative, which fosters a love for reading among students, and Robotna Company for the "Innovation Nation" initiative, which empowers students and teachers in programming and artificial intelligence.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, members of parliament, ministers, university presidents, officials, members of the Board of Trustees of the award, members of its management committee, and representatives from official institutions, international organizations, and civil society organizations.
