Highlights

The Adolescent Strategy (2024-2030) serves as a road map for UNICEF Indonesia, and in the lead-up to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Scaling up current efforts and promoting a multisectoral approach that addresses adolescent development holistically will provide a strong foundation for the next generation of Indonesians to achieve the vision of a “Golden Indonesia” in 2045, which prioritizes investing in human development and gender empowerment. The vision of the strategy is an Indonesia where all adolescent girls and boys, including the most vulnerable, reach their full potential and are empowered to make decisions about their future. The goal of the strategy is to ensure that, by 2030, all adolescent girls and boys are empowered and able to reach their full potential in an enabling environment, with supportive families, communities, institutions and policies that promote positive social norms and participation.
