Points forts

Violence, poverty, school closures, and a resurgence of cholera and malnutrition are pushing children and their families to the brink of desperation. Crisis conditions in Artibonite have swiftly deteriorated, posing numerous threats to children's health, safety and well-being. With limited access to safe drinking water, affordable food and basic education and health services, children and their families are reaching a breaking point.

Despite the extremely insecure and volatile environment, UNICEF is working with partners to step up efforts to protect children and families and provide the lifesaving support they desperately need.
