UNICEF Evaluations of PROSPECTS 2024-2027
The UNICEF Evaluation Office manages diverse evaluations on PROSPECTS to strengthen accountability (measuring impact) and learning (with an iterative evaluation)
What is PROSPECTS?
PROSPECTS is a pioneering, multi-year partnership launched in 2019 and now in its second phase running from 2024-2027. Its purpose is to improve the lives and prospects of millions of people who have been forced to flee their homes, as well as the communities that host them.
This programme is made possible thanks to the vision and funding of the Government of the Netherlands. PROSPECTS brings together a unique coalition: UNICEF, UNHCR, the International Labour Organization, the International Finance Corporation, and the World Bank. We work in close coordination with host governments across eight countries in the Middle East, North Africa, and East and Horn of Africa—Egypt, Ethiopia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Sudan, and Uganda
How does PROSPECTS work?
UNICEF and partners together aim to strengthen national systems and boost agency, inclusion and resilience, improve access to quality basic services and protection of forcibly displaced populations and their hosts. The partners work hand-in-hand with national actors, local NGOs, and community-led organizations—including those led by refugees, women, and youth—to ensure that solutions are relevant and sustainable.
