Cairo, November 2025- The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), in collaboration with the Rahmatan Lil Alamin Foundation (RLAF), has announced a new partnership to deliver humanitarian assistance to children and families displaced in Egypt as a result of the conflict in Gaza. Through a contribution of SGD $1 million from RLAF, the initiative will provide critical support and supplies to vulnerable families as well as host communities in Egypt.

This new partnership will contribute to UNICEF’s programme in Egypt, ensuring that displaced Palestinian children and their families receive timely and essential assistance. The contribution by RLAF will be used to provide health support (including medicines, medical supplies, or health checks at health facilities). This is in addition to the provision of child protection and learning services.

Since the onset of the conflict, Egypt has played a pivotal humanitarian role in hosting and assisting Palestinians displaced from Gaza. UNICEF, in close cooperation with the Government of Egypt and partners, continues to deliver assistance and essential services for both displaced populations and host communities.

Through this contribution, RLAF and UNICEF will work together to provide support to affected children and families, focusing on protecting their rights and ensuring their well-being.

Mrs. Natalia Winder-Rossi, UNICEF Representative in Egypt, stated:

“We are deeply grateful to the Rahmatan Lil Alameen Foundation for its contribution and solidarity with the children and families affected by the Gaza crisis. This support comes at a critical time and will allow UNICEF to expand access to essential services ensuring that every child can live, learn, and thrive in safety and hope.”

A representative of the Rahmatan Lil Alamin Foundation (RLAF) said:

“This visit reflected RLAF’s steadfast commitment to accountability and partnership. By working directly with UNICEF, we make sure every dollar donated is used effectively to help children and families in Gaza,” said Chief Executive Officer of RLAF, Mr Adnan Abdul Hamid.
