Learning Pioneers Programme Innovation Camp

Shaping the future of learning together

UNICEF’s Learning Pioneers Programme is a partnership between the UNICEF Global Learning Innovation Hub, UNICEF Country Offices and the respective Ministries of Education on a global journey to reimagine education and scale what works.

Underpinned by UNICEF's Digital Education Strategy 2025-2030, the Learning Pioneers Programme offers countries a unique opportunity to leap forward: to design their ideal future education systems, scale promising EdTech solutions and digital education initiatives, and become regional and global influencers in digital learning.

The Innovation Camp held in Helsinki on 20-24 Oct. 2025 brought together the Learning Pioneers Programme cohort 2 countries: Côte d’Ivoire, Jordan, Lao PDR, Pakistan, Tanzania, and Ukraine. The Innovation Camp was designed for participating countries to be inspired, to learn and take leadership in their country digital transformation.

The Camp aimed to:

·       Shift mindsets: to visionary systems thinking that goes beyond digital as usual.

·       Build national ownership: by supporting teams to co-develop bold, locally grounded visions for the future of learning, inspired by peers and experts.

·       Create transformation: by surfacing meaningful challenge areas where experimentation, adaptation, and risk-taking are encouraged.
