EU Child Guarantee: Third session of the National Steering Committee was held

National Steering Committee, the main managing body of the Phase III: Testing the Child Guarantee in Croatia pilot-programme held its third session on June 20, 2022. 

The Session was chaired by Ms. Regina M. Castillo, UNICEF Representative in Croatia and Ms. Margareta Madjeric, State Secretary, Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy. 

Members discussed the results in the implementation of the programme in Medjimurje County.

A draft of the National Action Plan for the implementation of the EU Council's recommendation on the establishment of the EU Child Guarantee was also presented.

The process of creating that document consisted of an analysis of the state and foundations of policies, services, financing and mechanisms aimed at addressing child poverty and social exclusion in Croatia, carried out as part of the pilot programme.

Consultations were held with manystakeholders, including children and young people.
