Get prepared: Shortlisting
Identifying eligible and suitable candidates
Once the vacancy closes, the hiring team reviews all profiles to identify eligible and suitable candidates for the position, in line with the minimum requirements included in the job description. If necessary, the hiring office may consider additional criteria in order to further reduce the number of candidates in the shortlist.
The candidate review and assessment process usually involves reviewing minimum eligibility criteria such as academic degrees, years of relevant experience, languages, international and emergency experience and certifications.
The length of the shortlisting process will vary depending on the hiring office’s priorities and the vacancy announcement type. The process can take a few days, a few weeks, or a few months.
