The UNICEF Supply Kit

The UNICEF Supply Kit is a package basic stationery such as paper, marker and scissors for adolescents to use as they participate in activities, and lightweight, multipurpose carrying cases to carry and organize materials, and to adapt outdoor or borrowed community spaces into adolescent-friendly activity spaces. The simple materials in each can make the Adolescent Kit's activities and approaches more engaging for adolescents, and encourage them to have fun, express themselves, experiment, and connect with others through drawing, writing, and team projects. Each Supply Kit is designed to meet the needs of 50 adolescents and four facilitators. 

The Supply Kit is designed especially for programme teams working in low-resource contexts and recent-onset emergencies, in which even basic materials such as pencils, pens and paper are not available. It is ...

• Lightweight and portable, so that all of the supplies can be easily carried (by adults or adolescents), especially for programmes reaching adolescents in remote communities.
• Multipurpose, with contents that can be used in multiple ways.
• Durable, with materials that can be used, transported and stored in all sorts of environments – rainy, dusty, muddy, very hot or very cold.
• Designed for adolescents, to make their activities more feasible, engaging and fun!
