Highlights

This report looks at changes in multidimensional child poverty in Zambia since 2015, using the Multiple Overlapping Deprivations analysis (MODA) index. The MODA index looks at child wellbeing across 7 dimensions: nutrition, health, education, water, sanitation, housing and access to information.
Multidimensional child poverty is high in Zambia. 65% of Zambian children experience monetary poverty and 70.6% of Zambian children are deprived in 2 or more dimensions of wellbeing simultaneously.
