Highlights

UNICEF is the United Nations Children's Fund and works in more than 190 countries and territories to promote and protect the rights of all children and adolescents, as established in the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

In Venezuela, as in the world, UNICEF works in a coordinated manner with national, state, and municipal authorities, as well as with civil society organizations, academia, the private sector, and other local actors that contribute to strengthening the country's capacities for the protection of the rights of children and adolescents, particularly the most vulnerable.

Currently, UNICEF is one of the United Nations agencies with the largest operational presence on the ground, with offices in Caracas, Zulia, Bolívar, and Táchira reaching the entire country. We contribute with programs of health, nutrition, education, protection of children and adolescents, water, sanitation and hygiene, communication for development, and emergency response.
