Highlights
The Timor-Leste Subnational Children’s Climate Risk Index and Disaster Risk Model (CCRI-DRM) Report brings together 66 indicators covering children’s exposure to climate and disaster hazards and the underlying vulnerabilities that affect their ability to cope with these risks. It provides a comparative assessment of children’s climate and disaster risk across Timor-Leste’s 13 municipalities, helping government institutions and development partners identify where children face the greatest risks and where targeted investments and preparedness measures are most needed.
The accompanying government Geospatial Platform enables users to explore the CCRI-DRM findings interactively, visualize subnational patterns of hazard exposure and child vulnerability, and support evidence-based planning and decision-making.
Together, the report and platform provide an important evidence base for integrating children’s needs and rights into climate policies, disaster-risk reduction, emergency preparedness, sector planning and public investment in Timor-Leste.
