Highlights

The HealthConnekt initiative presents a unique
investment opportunity for both the public and
private sector to equitably enable the ongoing
digital transformation of health services across
the globe. While the response to the COVID epidemic has
demonstrated the unique opportunity to dramatically
enhance reach and improve quality of health services in
lower-and-middle income countries, many marginalized and
remote communities are being left behind. To bridge this
gap health facilities must be able to reap the many benefits
of internet connectivity. Accessible and affordable
connectivity, including for individuals, is quickly becoming
recognized as an increasingly important determinant of
health.1
