Florinel, the boy with a brave heart

Despite all challenges, Florinel kept his optimism

Florinel likes to play with the ball and to always be on the move. He suffers from spastic paraparesis, so none of these hobbies comes easy to him. But he never gets discouraged by pain or discomfort.

Despite his health problems and his family’s difficult financial situation, Florinel kept his contagious smile and optimism, with support from the UNICEF model “The Minimum Package of Services”.

Florinel likes to play with the ball and to always be on the move. He suffers from spastic paraparesis, so none of these hobbies comes easy to him. But he never gets discouraged by pain or discomfort. 

He walks to school every day, just like his sister and his brother.

The Community Team (Social Worker, Community Nurse and School Councilor) in the village of Berești Tazlău, helped him get specialized medical treatment to improve his locomotion, supported him and his brother and sister to undergo medical check-ups, offered hygiene counseling and support for their schooling and for different administrative procedures, including for the social allowances they are entitled to.
