Punto Farma Supports School Enrollment Campaign

ASUNCIÓN, July 18, 2024. Punto Farma company supports the school enrollment campaign Let's go to school!, led by the Ministry of Education and Science (MEC) with the support of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the Education Above All (EAA) foundation of Qatar.

The campaign will intensify its actions to ensure that as many children as possible return to school after the winter holidays.

Punto Farma will support the campaign by broadcasting messages on radio, television, social networks and on its premises located in the areas targeted by the project.

In addition, the initiative invites everyone to support the return of children to school by messaging 0985 467 999 on WhatsApp if they know of any such cases, so that the corresponding follow-up can be done.

The Let's go to school! project, which has the support of Global Infancia and Fundación Alda at the local level, focuses on the enrollment of children who are outside the education system in the departments of Central, Itapúa, Alto Paraná, Caaguazú, Concepción, and San Pedro.

The campaign calls for action from families, departmental and district authorities, community leaders, members of the national education system, child protection actors and society to support the search and identification of children who are not enrolled or are most vulnerable to return to the education system.

To reach them, active search days and community mobilization are implemented, information and awareness-raising are carried out through house-to-house visits, dissemination of messages on radio and social networks, as well as referral to services and programs to support vulnerable families.

The program has already achieved the identification and enrollment of more than 2,800 children since 2023, based on joint actions and a daily process of awareness-raising with families, teachers, school directors and the entire educational community.

This year, 175 educational institutions provide direct support to children, girls and families identified through the project, beyond the enrollment campaign, throughout the year, in the selected locations.
