UNICEF Young Reporters
UNICEF volunteers co-creating for youth by youth
The UNICEF Young Reporters is a volunteer initiative that brings together young people and offers them a unique opportunity to express their views, share experiences, gain knowledge and skills, showcase examples of adolescents and youth taking positive actions and effectively participate in developing processes of their communities.
“My experiences as a UNICEF Young Reporter have been impeccable so far. For the first time, I feel like my opinion is heard and genuinely matters,” Matej 16
UNICEF Young Reporter Blogs during COVID-19
“As a UNICEF Young Reporter, I have the chance to learn more about media literacy, blogging, and video making. I'm really having fun and I'm glad my voice can be heard." Dorisa 16
UNICEF Young Reporters meet weekly and participate in training in media literacy, writing blogs and articles, video production and graphic design. They work together and produce multi-media content including blogs, videos, vlogs, written articles and social media content on topics important for children and youth.

“I have been engaged in multiple activities that have undoubtedly opened new perspectives I didn't have the chance to experience before. I am involved in various group activities with dozens of enthusiastic people, namely students, who have an unremitting ambition to do good in this world,” Deni 21
Through its volunteer initiative, UNICEF is investing in efforts to support and connect children and young people, offer them chance for learning, sharing knowledge and experiences, creating opportunities to engage in finding solutions to challenges, raising awareness and taking action to advance the wellbeing of all children. The work of the Youth Reporters during COVID-19 pandemic is partly funded by USAID.
