This Budget Brief seeks to unpack the 2020/21 Budget for Education and its implications for achieving better outcomes for children. It analyses the size and composition of the budget allocations for 2020/21 as well as offer insights into the efficiency, effectiveness, equity and adequacy of past spending in education, to put forth key messages to inform financial decision-making processes and programming for improved education outcomes.
It focuses on the budget for the Ministry of Education Arts and Culture (MoEAC), which is mandated to provide basic education in Namibia.
