Highlights
While Namibia has an enabling legislative environment for inclusive education, challenges related to abuse, ignorance, cultural practices, stigma and discrimination, contribute to children with disabilities not accessing school or dropping out of school at a very early age.
This report addresses matters relating to policy, the curriculum, and attitudinal, cultural, infrastructural and technological barriers to realising inclusive education in Namibia.
Future interventions must ensure that children with disabilities, and those with other special needs in education, have equal opportunities and equal access to education
