Day of the African Child 2024

The Day of the African Child inspired us with the bold voices of Liberia’s children, who called for urgent action to ensure Education for All Children in Africa. Under the theme “Promoting Inclusive and Resilient Education Systems for Every Child in Liberia,” they highlighted progress and challenges in realizing their right to education. Their message was unmistakable: The Time Is Now. Ministers from Youth and Sports, Gender, Children and Social Protection, Education, Agriculture, alongside representatives from Health, Justice, the UN Resident Coordinator, and the Dean of the International Community, pledged specific actions to be delivered within the year. These commitments will be reviewed on International Children’s Day, November 20, 2024, as we work together to build a future where every child’s right to education is fulfilled.
