UNICEF mission

UNICEF believes in a world where all children have an equal chance to live, learn, play and grow up in safe communities.

Giving a fair chance in life to every child – especially the most disadvantaged – offers the greatest hope of breaking intergenerational cycles of poverty and inequality.

This focus on the most vulnerable and excluded children – whether they come from the poorest homes or the most marginalized areas – is at the heart of our mission.

We are saving lives, protecting childhoods, getting children to school, and helping improve access to healthcare and other essential social services. We also act to prevent disasters, or quickly respond when they occur to minimize the impact on children and their families.

UNICEF results

Every child in Liberia deserves to be the best they can be. That is why we work tirelessly with our partners to deliver results for children.
