The National Disability Allowance is a national, rights-based programme that provides income support to persons with disabilities and enables access to services, removes barriers, and fosters inclusion.

Malak Abbas Mazbouh is 7 years old and lives with visual impairment. A quick learner with a steady focus, Malak has already found her way into the world of technology: she loves practicing on a computer and is becoming proficient at fast typing in Word. “I really enjoy learning on the computer because I’m quick, hardworking, and can type many words,” she says with a proud smile. She also plays the piano, and she loves going to school and learning new things. Through the NDA, Malak’s family receives regular monthly support that helps them cover essential needs and sustain her learning pathway.

With financing from the Government of Lebanon, European Union, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and other donors, the National Disability Allowance is implemented by the Ministry of Social Affairs in partnership with UNICEF and ILO.
