Highlights

Research has shown that gendered patterns and division of unpaid work developed at young ages often persist into later life stages and contribute to the consolidation of traditional gender roles in adulthood. This can perpetuate gender inequalities and limit women’s opportunities for personal and professional growth. This report analyses time use among adolescents in selected Latin American countries, differentiating patterns by gender.
