With these five case studies, we want to describe the experience of implementing the Child Development Care (CCD) approach in the policies and practices of the sectors and services that serve children and their families in Belize, El Salvador, Paraguay, Peru, and the Dominican Republic.
These reports highlight the main achievements, lessons learned, and opportunities for CCD to be implemented and scaled up.
CDI is an intervention model that seeks to strengthen the capacities of caregivers and families to promote children's development. To this end, front-line workers are trained on a package of resources to accompany families with children in early childhood, with recommendations based on play and communication.
