Bazarkul's Story:

Bazarkul lives in the village of Yntymak in the Kadamjai District of the Batken Region. When her daughter needed a consultation with an experienced pediatric neurologist, the family didn't have to travel to Osh or Bishkek.

Thanks to the Telemedicine program, a highly qualified specialist consulted the girl remotely with local doctors, helped establish a diagnosis, and determine further treatment.

This Joint Programme, funded through the UN SDG Fund with contributions from the European Union, Spain and Sweden, and implemented by WHO, UNDP, UNFPA and UNICEF under the leadership of the UN Resident Coordinator in the Kyrgyz Republic, is aimed at strengthening Kyrgyzstan’s digital health system—especially for women, children and vulnerable groups in rural and remote areas—ensuring access to quality healthcare for all.
