What do I need to know about Learning Bridges?

Parents

Your child's school will distribute printed versions of Learning Bridges activity sheets to all students.Your role is critical to support your child in her/his learning but you are not expected to play the role of the teacher. Guidelines on what kind of support you can provide to your child are included in each activity sheet. Please encourage your child and help them to develop a lifelong passion for learning.

Teachers

Teachers are encouraged to take a 4-hour online training course on Learning Bridges. For every activity pack, teachers will receive a guidance sheet on how to introduce the activity, support the student’s learning and give feedback. The teacher will also be able to get extra resources to help them and their students by using the QR code.

Communities

The disruption caused to education by the COVID-19 pandemic requires a community effort to help recover children’s learning. If you are a community facilitator of an after-school programme, your involvement with Learning Bridges is invaluable, starting with taking the online training course on Learning Bridges. You can  help students access resources, encourage them by using the guidelines for parents on the activity sheets and help them put together the resources they need to complete their projects.

"Children’s learning should never stop, even in the face of a global pandemic like COVID-19. UNICEF is proud to support the Ministry of Education to develop this new resource that will help recover and reimagine learning for every child."
